South Korea’s Ex-President Moon Indicted on Bribery Charges

Moon guided South Korea from 2017 to 2022.

The prosecution announced on Thursday that South Korea’s ex-president, Moon Jae-in, faces indictment over allegations of bribery.

The Jeonju District Prosecutors’ Office stated that Moon was “charged with corruption for accepting 217 million won (approximately €134,000, $152,000) related to arranging employment for his son-in-law at an airline.”

This development occurs merely six weeks prior to the general election in South Korea.
