Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes took a significant blow on Wednesday after Mikel Arteta’s side were held to a 2–2 draw by Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium, leaving Liverpool just one point away from clinching the title.

Arsenal began with vigor, scoring first in the 3rd minute when Jakub Kiwior found the back of the net, assisted by their captain Martin Ødegaard.

Nevertheless, their initial lead was equalized in the 27th minute by Eberechi Eze, following an assist from Adam Wharton.

In the 42nd minute, Leandro Trossard reclaimed Arsenal’s lead with assistance from Jurrien Timber, allowing the home team to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Even though Arsenal controlled much of the possession throughout the match, they found themselves equalized in the 83rd minute after Crystal Palace’s Jean-Phillipe Mateta scored, preventing an Arsenal victory.

The result leaves Arsenal on 67 points from 34 games, while Liverpool, with 79 points from 33 games, remain at the top of the table and need just one more point from their remaining fixtures to secure the Premier League title.

Manchester City, also on 34 games, sit third with 61 points.
