Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Deputy Minister of Finance, has urged ECOWAS member countries to reaffirm their dedication to the initial objectives of the organization as it celebrates its golden jubilee.

Speaking to the press at the periphery of the inaugural session of the special ECOWAS Council of Ministers meeting in Accra on Monday, Mr. Ampem, representing Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, emphasized the urgent necessity for collaborative efforts to address the significant economic issues confronting West Africa.

As we mark 50 years of ECOWAS, we should move forward with a fresh sense of determination and solidarity.
