After an engine caught fire while on the tarmac at Orlando International Airport in Florida, passengers had to disembark from a Delta aircraft.
Video on social media showed smoke and flames rising from the right engine, and passengers exiting the aircraft down inflatable emergency slides.

Delta Flight 1213 was scheduled to take off from Orlando, known as the city where Disneyland resides, heading to Atlanta carrying approximately 300 passengers. No information about casualties has been reported.

The Airbus A330 was transporting 282 passengers, along with 10 flight attendants and two pilots, according to a statement from Delta shared with the BBC’s U.S. affiliate, CBS News.
When fire was spotted in one of the aircraft’s two primary engines, the airline reported that the crew promptly initiated the evacuation process for the cabin.
A video captured at the terminal appeared to show passengers standing on the tarmac alongside emergency vehicles positioned near the airplane.
“We appreciate our customers’ cooperation and apologise for the experience,” Delta said.
“Nothing is more important than safety and Delta teams will work to get our customers to their final destinations as soon as possible.”
The Federal Aviation Administration stated that they will look into the occurrence.
Several major aviation accidents have occurred in North America this year.
On 29 January, 67 people were killed after a passenger plane and a military helicopter collided in mid-air near Washington DC’s Ronald Reagan airport.
Following the accident, crash investigators suggested limiting helicopter operations in specific zones close to the airport.
