The former Minister of Aviation and public policy advocate, Chief Osita Chidoka, has thrown his support behind Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election campaign prior to the election scheduled for November 8.

Speaking during a
live radio interview
On Wednesday, in Anambra, Chidoka referred to Soludo as “a role model for the Anambra we envision.”

He commended Soludo for his outstanding qualifications, forward-thinking guidance, and significant accomplishments during the last three years.

He stressed that the November 8 event wasn’t merely a political competition but “a crucial and foundational choice regarding the future of Anambra State.”

As per his view, Soludo was the type of person he aspired for his son to look up to.

He stated: “The issue at hand is not about what candidates are currently proclaiming, but rather about identifying who genuinely embodies the future we aspire to construct.”

Out of all the candidates running for governor, which one would I prefer my son to emulate? My response is straightforward: Governor Charles Soludo.

Drawing from the well-known Cuban custom where youngsters say “We want to be like Che” in tribute to revolutionary icon Che Guevara, Chidoka advocated for a comparable aspiration in Anambra.

We have to start thinking about generations.

Similar to how Cuban children viewed Che Guevara as a role model for bravery and determination, our children should admire leaders such as Soludo.

Top-tier intellect, ex-Central Bank of Nigeria governor, international thought leader, and dedicated public official.

That is the vision I have for Anambra’s future.

Chidoka also praised Soludo’s emphasis on education, highlighting their collaborative work in establishing a framework for providing free primary education throughout the region.

He said that education serves as the strongest weapon against perpetuating poverty.

He praised the Governor’s commitment to making quality education accessible to every child.

“Soludo’s inclusive leadership style and ability to surround himself with capable individuals who drive impactful change is laudable.

“His ability to spot talent is essential for enduring good government,” he said additionally.

Chidoka commended the administration for their pioneering Homeland Security Law of 2025, lauding their ambitious strategy towards safety. This law positions landlords, neighborhoods, and faith-based organizations as key participants in preventing criminal activities.

He characterized the legislation as “a nationwide model for forward-looking, ethically sound, and tech-driven security management.”

He stated, “He stands as the emblem for Anambra’s future, and that is precisely why I wholeheartedly endorse his re-election.”
